RozenRot – Dark Fantasy, Horror and Twisted Fairytales
I’m RK Sangue (previously known as Dorian Caine/Dx3Draws) and this is my website!
I’m a queer, disabled and trans creative splitting my time between rural Appalachia and Texas. I draw and write a lot of different things but my work is frequently centered around themes of alienation, taboo, monstrosity, loss of control, and self-acceptance — with a generous helping of horror on both the personal and cosmic scale.
These things are often explored through various and sometimes disturbing lenses such as dominance and submission, bodily transformation, transgressive/taboo relationships, hypnosis/mind-control, cannibalism and other forms of violence, and just general tropes of gothic fiction.
My mission as an artist/writer is to include those who live on the fringes of what is deemed acceptable in our society — fat people, trauma victims, trans people, and neurodivergent people — who often don’t find themselves depicted in a positive light outside of anything but the most “vanilla” works of fiction: I want to create weird, transgressive art that explores the darkest parts of the human psyche and our strangest, .most taboo desires.
I also do more generic character design/character portraits and concept work.
My current primary projects are Nocturnal Creatures — which I have yet to decide on an official medium for — an erotic horror series that focuses on cycles of toxic behavior, the horror of soulmates and the cycle of life, death and rebirth and Touch of the Infinite — an erotic horror novella about becoming the vessel that brings about the end of the world as we now it.
When I say my work is “gothic” I don’t simply mean that it has a goth aesthetic — I mean that in the literary sense.
My work focuses on things that are often deeply uncomfortable and disturbing to a lot of people and while I almost always focus on characters enjoying the horrible things happening to them, make no mistake that sometimes what I write/draw might be triggering to more sensitive viewers. Please do not follow or pledge to my patreon if you’re not comfortable with seeing really messed up things.
